• Withdraw money with ATM will charge a fix free 200 THB for one time and the exchange rate will depend by ATM bank exchange rate of the day that it may be ok or low but you even know it. So if you need to withdraw money by ATM machine in Khao Lak better make it maximum per a withdraw such as some ATM Machine can allow limited withdraw maximum 10,000 - 20,000 THB (250 Euro or 285 Dollar) and also limited total not over 100,000 THB per a day (250 Euro or 285 US Dollar).

3.Paying by credit card in Khao Lak Thailand

All credit card payment processing to business  Thai Bank will charge up to 5% depending on local cards, international cards, Master Card, Visa Card etc...

So big hotel or supermall they are already included 5% in there service costs even you pay by cash.

For small business if you pay by cash prices will be normal not add extra up 5% but if you pay by credit card even some small local company, shops, tour agencies or restaurant they also ask for 4-5 % credit card fee for your payment.

Drive car or Motorbike, we drive on the left side on road, Normal local Thai must so much fix and respect traffic rules but for sure better tourists do it more safe for you if you drive not so fast and double careful because some time people who drive on road turn without any sign turning notice it can happen sometime. 

Use the map or ask local more for where you want to go, Local Thai who speak English they can give you more information and you just try to remember first time drive to somewhere better drive slow road because come shape curve is dangerous and lots of sand on the road it may easy make you slide out from the road.

3.Clever to use local service

Regular rules just check all information first, survey around for compare rate price and quality. It not always cheap price is good you can know by yourself about this. 

Use local tour for support future community life because it will sustainable for Khao Lak if some small local business can run their business in standards with friendly price offer, Why not try? 

4.Before rent any motorbike for car, please ask them more for the conditions, accident insurance or any damages 

You must to read all any paper that you will sign for rent.  Better important to take a photo for all condition of that vehicle or any damage mark points before you take it. Not mean all local company will try to cheat on you but some times their staff is not professional for recored they just forget and when they recheck again after you return vehicle back to them and they will ask you to pay for that damage so it easy if you force this problem just show them picture and tell them it already have its as picture show it not your faith..It will be OK for both.

5.Eating nice food, yummy and clean

Lots of delicious Thai Food Restaurants in Khao Lak also have some Western Food Restaurants such as Pizza or Steak, Korean food and Japanese food but not much as Thai food Restaurants where you can find a lots from the main road, on the beach or nearby your hotel. One things hotel restaurant food rate prices will more expensive than local restaurant just go out and try it you may love this experience.

6.Happy to shopping in Khao Lak  

Many 7-Eleven shops are setting up in Khao Lak so if you need some things just go there and buy it but not everything you need can find in 7-Eleven some only can buy in local market or local shop. Enjoy and see how it different things in there.

8.Make new friends

How to make new friend easy just be friendly and respect each other with smile, positive act and learn about local basic culture that should Do or Do not do that is a way to make new friend while you holiday in here.

If you are not young or travel as a family you can join local activity such as visit the temple on Thai Buddhist day as foolow moon lunar there are 4 times / a month. Local will go to the temple and making merit or meditation.

Other ways is visit local market meet and see how local Thai way of life and try lots of food that not so expensive also.
